Inter continue to work upon bringing in Shkodran Mustafi. Corriere dello Sport report that the Nerazzurri have put some of the money received from Stevan Jovetic’s transfer to AS Monaco towards the German. Inter have offered a €5 million for a two year loan with a €25 million redemption fee attached which will become obligatory after a certain number of appearances. Arsenal however wish for ‘instant’ money opposed to possibly having to wait two years to receive the sum as they look to sign Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton.
Meanwhile, Benfica’s Lisandro Lopez may join the Nerazzurri on loan as part of Gabriel Barbosa joining the Portuguese club on loan. Inter also remain to monitor Valencia’s Ezequiel Garay and Eliaquim Mangala.
For the time being at least, Andrea Ranocchia’s exit from the San Siro has been put on standby. Inter manager Luciano Spalletti confirmed that the Italian would go elsewhere a couple of weeks ago but Ranocchia is the only first team ready central defender, who could replace Miranda and Milan Skriniar in the event of injury or suspension.
