It has been rumored to be in the works for the past few weeks but was made official only moments ago: Ivan Perisic has extended his contract with Inter until the end of June 2022.

The Nerazzurri released a statement on their official homepage moments ago confirming that the Croatian winger who in June seemed destined to be on his way out from Milano to join José Mourinho at Manchester United, has instead opted to stay in Milano and extend his contract.

The statement in full:

“FC Internazionale Milano are happy to announce that Ivan Perisic has renewed his contract and will remain with the Nerazzurri until 30th June 2022!

Born in Split on 2nd February 1989, Ivan joined Inter during the 2015-16 season. He has since gone on to make 81 appearances in Serie A, domestic cups and the Europa League. He has scored 20 goals for Inter but the story won’t end here.”
