Inter legend Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi spoke to Sky Sport on Inter’s defence, in particular the full backs: “The starters are Danilo D’Ambrosio and Yuto Nagatomo. Dalbert? He must grow. Luciano Spalletti has made choices and he has the skill is to grow the players he has available to him. [Just look at what he done with] Emerson Palmieri, for example, he got him in to the national team.”

Bergomi also spoke on Inter’s missed targets and what they need: “Inter tried to sign an important player for the midfield, they wanted to take Radja Nainggolan or Arturo Vidal but lost out. Inter need a central defender.”

Right.. So we scratch of Bergamo from ever being an Inter coach.. Lol.

Stop complaining about dalbert. do you guys want to see a nagashitomo start in 5-6 consecutive matches to start with the “please anyone, just not him again!” messages? we tried this clown for 7 freakin years and we got nowhere except 8th and 9th positions in the table, and a host of so stupid red cards at critical moments plus numerous unnecessary goals conceded thanks to the this japanese curse. i dont care how badly dalbert performed vs spal(and he played a decent match), for me he can have a chance to prove himself for the whole season just because no one can do worse than yuto. and if it goes bad, bring in santon when he comes back. no nagatomo ever again.

Hope Dalbert will be given games to learn as he clearly has potential but I believe he was told to stay back and concentrate on closing down the left hand side. A cleaver move by Spalletti and by then he can gain confidence and might attrack more in the future when he had learned the Italian way of playing.
As for Ambros he is doing really well, and no need to want him out! He has gone from a must-sell to being a really strong right full back!

    • Anto

yep, not typical of dalbert that likes to burst up forward, i think there was an instruction for him to stay back

      • casperv

Yep my point excatly. And it makes sense to tell him to be careful in defense and wait with going forward until he has played 3-4 games in Serie A

    • Interfan99

      Really strong is an overstatement

      • casperv

Not really; he has been very aware in defense, and going forward he has been great – did you see the assist he made for Perisic´s goal against SPAL??

  • Dani Milekić

The hell? Dalbert is miles ahead of Nagatomo right now.

    • Aleksandar Savić

      Light years…

    • Stefano

To be honest , Sunday I saw a left footed nagatomo at best .
Maybe he has a lot of growing potential, hope so because he is the less impressive of all new acquisitions so far.

      • Dani Milekić

Nobody got past him. He has to work on defensive positioning but he is faster, stronger and smarter than Nagatomo in all ways.

        • Stefano

          Yes…sure.
          Saw the game?

      • ROGUE LW

You’re joking right? He has been our best defender out there besides skriniar! How about the goal line bicycle clearance ? You think Nagy wouldve pulled that off? No! Absolutely not!! He would have got an own goal with his MICRO ASIAN PENIS!! DROP NAGA NOW!!

        • Stefano

          I have already dropped naga.
But I was expecting a lot more or a quality left back, that’s all.
I will give Dalbert time, but I am unimpressed.

        • davide

why are you so obsessed with penis ?

        • inter_island

Wow ?? So you really saw Naga’s penis huh ? Good on you mate.

          • ROGUE LW

Have none of you seen his own goal highlight reel? Good grief. Wtf is wrong with you people.

        • Stefano

          You were saying?

      • inter_island

Your hate on Dalbert is like Jay’s love for Jojo.

        • Stefano

Why using a word like “hate”?
I don’t even hate naga and rano (even thou with rano I come close, that’s how much I dislike the idea of seeing him in the field).
He may be a great left back ,I hope so.
He is fast, but so far he has no way to use his speed against a fully positioned defense, he does’nt know what to do with his potential speed, cause he does not seem to have much quality on his side.
0 goals and very, very few assists in his career seem to confim that.

With the really good left backs we have had in the past you could see their qualities right away.
          First day,right there,
I could make a list, and careful because I’m old.
          It goes way back.
Sometimes that is not the case and players take some time to show their best qualities.
          I hope so.
But I also remember the comments on Pereira the first 2 months :
” He needs time and at least he runs and fights a lot defensively”…
Then..after a couple of months nobody was left to defend the poor guy.
I hope he is not Pereira.
So far he looks one notch better than Pereira.
          Exactly like Nagatomo.

        • Stefano

Did you watch the game today?
