Gazzetta dello Sport have been focusing on the work done by Luciano Spalletti so far at Inter. The Inter manager  has managed to adjust & work on Inter with small, almost surgical precision like changes.

From his work on the mental & tactically side to that on defensive movement & positioning down to the finest detail even as far as how to setup for throw ins. “After a couple of packed in training sessions in Brunico, Spalletti found his players & results during the Summer tour of Asia. In the meantime Luciano Spalletti has also been working one on one with his players too. Transforming the sometimes lazy Miranda in to a leader, reduces Nagatomo’s lapses in concentration to a minimum, D’Ambrosio can now resist a kick or two from Perrotti at the Olimpico & stay on his feet & actually deliver the sucker punch himself. The same can be said of Antonio Candreva, who was up & down the wing even last season but now has a different body language, & you can see he believes more. Joao Mario ended last season leaving the bench during a game with Gabriel Barbosa away at Lazio when Stefano Vecchi choose to bring on someone else instead of him for his final change. With Spalletti he has reacted well & with a much more positive attitude, as we saw against Fiorentina & Roma. Gagliardini seemed to take a bit more time to adjust but after a solid weeks’ work at Appiano Gentile during the international break he was snapping away at the Spal midfield chasing down every ball.

Spalletti is now convinced that soon both Marcelo Brozovic & Andrea Ranocchia will also have their time to shine in this Inter team. The defender is still waiting for his chance but the Croatian midfielder has already had his against both Fiorentina & Spal. He still has his limitations & this showed on Sunday with a couple of misplaced balls but Spalletti can still mark in his notebook that he was involved in the build up to the second goal & had a couple of good moments when called upon. Now he is convinced he can win this gamble too.”
