Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio spoke with Premium Sport moments ahead of kick-off at the Stadio Ezio Scida when Crotone host Inter in the Serie A.
“Thankfully it is a new season, our experiences here are useful to build the future. We are working, we haven’t done anything exceptional but we are looking to do serious things. We all believe in this and are working to achieve this” Ausilio stated regarding last season defeat when inter were humiliated by Crotone.
“Mauro Icardi is worth a lot, but he has a long contract and Inter hold on to him strongly. We cannot talk about evaluations for him. Isco’s €700 million clause? They seemed monstrously big last year but when there is a will to stay together it doesn’t matter. Icardi is very happy to be at Inter and will continue to stay here even without a release clause. Icardi has a long contract and you have talk calmly with him, we could give him a contract extension but when you are happy at Inter these things aren’t important. Icardi gives a lot to our cause, but then I cannot exclude that we will extend his contract.”
In conclusion Ausilio was asked about Icardi’s new bleached hair style saying “it isn’t my style, but the important thing is what he does during the week. He works really well, I don’t like his hairstyle but if he continues like this I have no problems.”
