For the first time since the 2002/03 season, the Milan clubs joint points total after four games exceeds the teams from Turin and Rome.

After four rounds, the Milan clubs have 21 points out of 24 (Inter 12, Milan 9), the Turin clubs 20 (Juventus 12, Torino 8) and the Rome clubs 16 (Lazio 10, Roma 6). These figures have lead to Gazzetta dello Sport questioning whether or not the Milan clubs are truly “back.” Back in the 2002/03 season, at the same stage the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri had a combined 22 points.
