Inter’s city rivals, Milan, are the only Italian team to feature in the CIES top 100 youngest clubs across Europe.

The list brings together the average age of sides fielded so far in this current season across Europe. According to the data compiled by the Football Observatory in Neuchatel Switzerland, after the first 4 games of the season, the Rossoneri sit in 55th place in Europe but 6th in the list of Europe’s top 5 leagues (Italy, Spain, France, Germany & England) with an average age of 24,8. The rest of Serie A sits outside the top 100 with Fiorentina behind Milan with an average age of 25,7, followed by Inter (28,17).

Roma, Napoli & Juventus’ averages are all over the age of 28 with Chievo Verona having the “oldest” age with an average of 31 years old.
