Speaking at the Sky Sport 24 studio, journalist Matteo Marani wanted to get rid of the overwhelming criticism of Inter afterwards with Bologna at Dall’Ara.

Bologna became the first team to take a point from Inter this season as they held the Nerazzurri to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Ex-Milan man Simone Verdi could have had a hat-trick for the home side in the first half hour but had to make do with one goal, while Mauro Icardi was on hand to rescue Luciano Spalletti’s side with a late penalty.

“Spalletti’s team was criticised a lot after the 1-1 draw on Tuesday, but I emphasise that the opponents Bologna put in a good performance,” Marani stated.

“The positive side of the Nerazzurri is that they have strong character even when things get difficult, showing resilience to come back.”
