Danilo D’Ambrosio came to talk with Inter Channel whilst smiling: “I’m glad that my goal secured the three points that we so desperately wanted, in my opinion we deserved to win even if the quality of football was not great, we had a lot of chances that came close and we were pressing as much as we could, so we were successful, but it was testing at times because they would get us on the counter-attack and they were very tight at the back, although we kept believing and now we go to Benevento with the desire to collect three more points. Recently I had the baptism of my son, Leonardo, so the goal is dedicated to him.”

“The secret? Eat healthy, work out and practise in training, but above all the practise in training is what determines how the week ends. We must continue to improve our movement up the pitch, the speed of how we complete the steps towards getting a goal must be faster. The heart is and has always been there, today it was difficult, it was our sixth game and we want to improve upon our championship result from last year but it is also a long project and there will be draws and losses along the way so we cannot let ourselves become demoralised or exalt ourselves when we win, we must stay calm, humble and determined. Critics? We cannot take negativity too personally just like we can’t let praise go to our heads. The badge comes before the player, we are all on this path together.”
