Very strong words by Massimo Mauro on his blog for both Milan clubs.  “The defeat Sampdoria handed Milan and the very difficult victory Inter had vs Genoa are two major factors from this weekends matches”.  “Milan are simply inconsistent, one week they play strongly and the next week they play poorly and the critical tone from Marco Fassone do not help the situation at hand.”  On Fassone “The constant negativity by a club representative simply does no wonders.”

He continued by stating “Putting together a roster with many changes, those of which aren’t major signings but the price tags simply were, is not easy.  These delicate moments are the times for which to unite and not provide a negative ambiance.  The loss came with two such crucial errors, two ridiculous plays for which lead to the loss and for those who talk need to understand the consequences.  The project needs time, you can’t assume that Milan we’re going to come out flying out of the gate and expect to win the Scudetto.  In this moment and time you must stay patient and let the project take its time to run its course.”

In regards to the Nerazzurri, Mauro was slightly less critical “Inter on the other hand I see them comfortably better, even though they’re not playing great football they are indeed finding ways to win games.  At this point the play will certainly improve, just as long as Icardi, Candreva and Perisic get along.   I’ve seen some uncomfortableness from players so I believe Luciano Spalletti has to work more on assuring cohesiveness within the group then on tactics.  After all this, after one draw and the rest victories,  Spalletti is doing very well considering the true potential that can come about in the future.”
