Inter President Erick Thohir was interviewed by Indonesian media outlet Bolalob where he was asked about Inter’s plans in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have been linked heavily with Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil who is yet to extend his contract with the Gunners who he seems intent on parting ways with given that his current deal is set to expire in June 2018. Thohir was asked about Ozil specifically stating that he was unsure if the German World Cup winner from 2014 would be allowed to leave Arsenal in the upcomign transfer window in January: “We are looking into how to reinforce the squad and we are still looking into which players we wish to sign. We have a lot of good scouts everywhere. I am not sure if Ozil will leave Arsenal in January but it is clear that Luciano Spalletti knows which players are needed to improve the performances of the squad.”
