The Milan’s derby is firmly on the horizon for both AC Milan and Inter, and Rossoneri legend Gianni Rivera previewed the game for TMW Radio.

Inter are currently seven points ahead of their city rivals in the Serie A standings, but the ex-Italy international conceded that form is not always important in derby games.

“Derbys are unpredictable races, there is hope on both sides,” Rivera said.

Rivera also hit out at recent comments made by former Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, who questioned the new owners of the Rossoneri.

“It’s he who has sold the club to this group, you have to ask why he did it if he is not convinced.

“Milan’s difficulties? You see that there is not yet the right solution, there is value in the field but it is difficult to play the team well.”

Is Montella is the right technician for this Milan?

“The good coaches are the ones who have the players who can win the matches.”
