Former Inter centre back Riccardo Ferri spoke to Il Giorno in the lead up to the Milan Derby on Sunday evening, “Milan are at a disadvantage to Inter as they are seven points behind them. The wingers of each will decide the outcome of the derby. Inter have a solid base and showcased that by keeping a hold of Ivan Perisic.”

Ferri also recalled some of the derbies he played in, “I did not exchange half a word with my national teammates like Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini in the tunnel before the game. It was a sign of respect for one another’s concentration. Back then the games meant so much more than they do today. It was easier to explain the importance to a few foreign players but it has changed.”

I think Spaletti should use 4-2-4 against AC Milan with following players:

    GK: Handanovic
    DF: D’Ambrosio – Miranda – Skriniar – Dalbert
    MF: Gagliardini – Vecino
FW: Candreva – Icardi – Eder – Perisic

We should play in a more aggressive and attacking tactic to score 1-2 early goals first and then we can switch to a more defensive and tactical game with Borja Valero and Joao Mario. FORZA INTER!!!

  • I hope Perisic will make Rodriguz head spin. Candreva should also find some room given that Conti is out.

Perisic will play on the left so he wont make many duels with Rodriguez who also plays on the left (only Milan’s side)

I wouldn’t say that winger is most decisive. I’d say movement from the mid would.
Striker movement to dissemble the defence is key. Whether we get a goal from trequarista or further mid that’s another case, but Icardi movement to draw bonucci away is key. Perhaps another striker could be slot in to distract their difensore focus.
In our defense, I agree, might have serious problem from the wing. Our FB is our achilles, and Im sure Montella will exploit that.
