Inter captain Mauro Icardi stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts after having scored a hattrick to gift his Inter all 3 points in the Milano derby against Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“Tomorrow I am going to get everyone in the team to sign the ball that i am taking home with me tonight. I greeted Milito and I reminded him of his hattrick against Milan. I missed a penalty in the derby 2 years ago but to win like this, in fron of our fans, is even more beautiful.”

Icardi was asked if he wishes to dedicate his goals to anyone to which he replied: “As I always say, they are for my family. Today, especially, it is Mothers Day in Argentina so these three goals are all for Wanda. From tomorrow however we will begin to think about Saturday, we have to do better than we did today. Napoli are a fantastic team and now we have to start focusing on that match.”

“I think my second goal was the most beautiful one of the three tonight, mainly because of the coordination of my body plus that I had to get into the corner, I saw the goalkeepers step and it went well. It is very important for me to score goals, if the goals are beautiful then that is even better.”

In conclusion Icardi was asked about the assists he got from Candreva and Perisic: “Yes, we continue on what we started last season, this year we hope things end better. The goals need to be valuable to the team.”
