Former Inter President Massimo Moratti spoke on Radio Rai on last night’s derby victory, “I used to suffer more when I was the president of Inter, now I am more like a fan but the game was fascinating. It’s always special to win a derby. Napoli are a very strong side but I think Inter are more compact then them. If they beat Napoli they can become scudetto contenders.”

“It’s hard to compare Spalletti and Mourinho, they are too different. They are both very good managers and a good human beings but it’s hard to compare them, they are too different,” Moratti said when speaking on Nerazzurri boss Luciano Spalletti.

Moratti continued discussing the current team, “I think there are still some missing pieces in this Inter side but I am sure investments will be made in the future. Who would I add from the triplete team? I would always put Cambiasso into the team, he is fundamental for the midfield. I would only add a few from the treble winning side like Sneijder who increases the speed of the team. Meanwhile in attack, I think that Spalletti is covered with Icardi who is a quality player. Any regrets? I really liked Cantona but you can not sign all players.”

Moratti concluded discussing the introduction of VAR in to Serie A this season, “In the beginning I was not that enthusiastic about it, before there was a lot of controversy surrounding the right or wrong refereeing decisions and everyone had their own ideas. However now no-one can say anything. I think it is an excellent thing, we need to get used to it although the referees must use it in the right situations
