Inter are ready to land Ramires in the upcoming January mercato according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Brazilian is currently on the books of Jiangsu Suning, Inter’s owners Suning’s second club, based in China.

The 30-year-old central midfielder would arrive officially in January on loan – similar to the Trent Sainsbury deal of last year – but could start training with Luciano Spalletti’s side and learning Spalletti’s ways as early as next month.

Ramires is a cost effective signing for the sake of Inter’s Financial Fair Play, which limits their signing potential hugely. Should Inter wish to make a big name signing, a big sale will be required. Joao Mario or Marcelo Brozovic are the favourites to be sacrificed.

Ramires has made 23 league appearances for Jiangsu this term scoring seven and assisting four. He has made another eight appearances in other competitions and scored another four goals in the process.
