According to Corriere della Sera, Inter have been given the green light to proceed with plans to build a new headquarters and training base in Piazza D’Armi from the councillor for urban planning Pierfrancesco Maran.

The Nerazzurri have planned to invest around €100 million in to the 75 acre facility, near to the San Siro. The new training base will have no less than 20 training pitches, a specialised medical centre, multiple gymnasiums and a residential area among other things. The training base will also be the home for Inter’s youth teams.

Architect Leopold Freyrie drew up the plans which have been tailor made to meet all of Suning’s requests as they aim to replicate the training campuses of the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Inter have been at present training base Pinetina, renamed Angelo Moratti Sports Centre for sponsorship reasons, for over 50 years, having first moved in in 1963.
