Gazzetta dello Sport have confirmed that a meeting took place yesterday in Nanjing, China between Suning Sports Technical Director Walter Sabatini and Suning supremo Zhang Jindong.

The main goal of the meeting was mainly to discuss the future of Inter’s sister club Jiangsu Suning but all Inter related affairs have almost certainly been addressed too.

“Former Chelsea player Ramires has been a long time admirer of the Nerazzurri and the former Roma Sporting Director will be exploring the possibility of landing the Brazilian midfielder this January when the transfer window opens when discussing with Suning CEO Zhang Jindong. Walter Sabatini and Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are hoping to be able to get extra funds by using the loan with obligation to buy formula in order to sign a central defender this winter too” Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Ramires, who was part of Chelsea’s FA Cup and Champions League winning squad, has been out with a knee injury recently but this has not deterred the Nerazzurri who see him as an ideal reinforcement for the second part of the season.
