Borja Valero gave an interview to Sky Sport after the 2-1 win away against Hellas Veron at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi after having scored his first goal for the Nerazzurri since joining the club in the summer from Fiorentina.

“I hope that my goal was a testiment to my development and growth. I have scored a bunch of goals here in Verona and I am happy to have scored. We are training a lot on our ability to retain possession as well as handling the matches well and I think that we are improving. We are convinced that we are a very strong team but that we have to win every match, not by talking but by doing it out on the pitch. We are a great group and we have to remain that way until the very end.”

The former Fiorentina midfielder was asked if he agrees that he has become a leader of this Inter to which he replied “I always try to do my best, no matter where I play. I am happy with what I am currently doing, the coach gives me a lot of confidence and I want to repay him. I often stretch out to the right, we work and train a lot on this aspect before moving on to finish the move we create on the left.”

In conclusion Valero was asked about the difference between this seasons Inter and the last season’s stating that “the coach has made us understand what needs to be improved, he has made an attentive analysis and now we are also doing well in both training as well as during the matches.”
