Inter’s Italian international midfielder droppes by InterTV to share his thoughts on the 2-1 win away against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.
“It was an important win that gives us continuity, we must close off the matches sooner and retain possession better than we do today, but we are happy for these 3 points. Vecino and I cover for each other depending on where the ball is, he has more attacking characteristics so we complement eachother” Gagliardini began.
The former Atalanta player then continued “After they equalized we did very well in believing in ourselves that we could go in front again. Then we have to become much better at retaining our lead, we cannot suffer like this towards the end of the matches which also happened against Sampdoria. Our strength is that we divide the tasks between us, everyone knows what they have to do and we only have to put Spalletti’s theories into practise and we have to believe in ourselves until the very end.”
In conclusion Gagliardini was asked what he thought about the quality of the pitch stating that “It is good, one of the best pitches that we have played on.”
