Interviewed by Corriere dello Sport, Manolo Gabbiadini gave his opinions on Serie A. “I want keep playing well and scoring goals for Southampton so I can go to the World Cup – says the striker – I want to keep my place at all costs, I’ve always been apart of this group under Ventura and I hope I deserve the chance.”

How is English Football from your perspective?

“The Premier League is amazing, very instinctive, due to the lack of tactics in comparison to in Italy. There is no better championship, everyone is good in their own way.”

Who is your role model?

“Diego Militio. When we played each other, I asked for his shirt but he did not give it to me because he lost and he was angry. I’m not a shirt collector, the ones I get, I always give to charity.”

Who will win the Scudetto?

“Napoli has been doing great things for the last two years, by playing the best Football in Italy, credit to Sarri for putting his mark on the team, there is also Spalletti who has added quality to Inter and without any European Football it will make it easier. But it’s always Juventus, if they beat these teams.”
