Inter will continue to keep an eye on him and scouts may well again be present to watch him further this weekend as Cagliari host Hellas Verona at the Sardegna Arena.

Barella has played nearly every minute of Cagliari’s season thus far, missing just over 50 minutes of action across 12 games in all competitions. Barella has scored two goals over the course of the season and is under contract with Diego Lopez’s side for a further four years through to 2021.
