Torino winger Iago Falque was interviewed by Spanish sports paper AS, where he spoke about how in recent years Spanish footballers seem to be enjoying more success in Italy compared to years gone by.

The former Roma player went on to say: “the Spanish players seem to settle and adapt much better to Italian football nowadays, it’s not like it used to be. You have players like Suso, Borja Valero, Jose Callejon who have been simply brilliant lately. There are plenty of Spanish players that are standing out now. Italian football is very different to Spanish in that it is more physical and tactical and you have to run more.”

Falque also spoke about Torino’s season so far and what he thinks that the Granata’s objectives are for the remainder of the season: “We would want to finish in the top seven and get a place in the European competitions next season. We will be fighting it out with Milan, Fiorentina & Sampdoria but we have invested well in the transfer market in order to meet our target.”

Torino travel to the San Siro this weekend to face Inter in the Serie A Sunday lunchtime kick-off match scheduled for 12.30 pm CET. So far more than 72,000 tickets have been sold and some are speculating that the San Siro might be sold out.
