Inter full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio stopped by InterTV to share his impression of the 1-1 draw against Torino in front of an almost sold-out crowd at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district after Eder equalized Iago Falque’s opening goal.
“We wanted to win, there is regret on our part. We had the chance to send out a message and to go top of the Serie A for a few hours. We wanted to give our many fans there were here today some joy but where unable to” the former Torino full-back began.
D’Ambrosio was asked about his own performance and role on the pitch today stating that “especially towards the end, I had to stay back a little bit. D’Ambrosio, who was called up to the Italian national team for the upcoming fixtures against Sweden in the FIFA World Cup qualifying play-offs, concluded when asked about the fixtures that “it is two decisive matches we have to win in order to qualify for the World Cup.”
