Inter’s Italian international striker Eder Citadin Martins came on in the second half when Inter hosted Torino at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza replaceing Roberto Gagliardini, and managed to make an instant impact on the match, when he collected Mauro Icardi’s layoff, just a few yards from Salvatore Sirigu’s goal, and tapped in the ball for a vital equalizing goal for Inter.

Eder, who extended his contract earlier this week spoke to Premium Sport after the draw and expressed his disappointment at not being able to clinch a win: “We are disappointed that we drew the match, our fans have filled the San Siro. The effort was definitely there, in the second half we pushed hard and had chances.”

“Torino are a good team, I’m sorry not to have won, but we tried really hard, I prefer the team’s victory over a goal for me and it was important not to lose this match, we will try to do better in the next match for sure” Eder concluded.
