VOTE: Who Is Your Man Of The Match for Inter 1 – 1 Torino?

Inter outplayed Torino in front of over 71.000 specatators at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district but poor finishing from especially Mauro Icardi saw the Nerazzurri drop 2 points at home when Eder equalized after Iago Falque had given Torino the lead.

Luciano Spalletti’s men came out all guns blazing in the first half, passing the ball really well, with great movement causing Torino all sorts of problems. The Nerazzurri created a lot of chances and captain Mauro Icardi missed more chances during the first 45 minutes than he has during his entire career at Inter. The inaccuracy in front of goal continued, mixed with a little bit of bad luck such as when Matias Vecino’s thunderous shot hit the crossbar in the second half.

Inter’s perfect home record is over after the 1-1 draw in a match where the Nerazzurri played really well but were hurt by their wastefullness in front of goal.

    Skriniar.
Very positive also Vecino and Candreva.
Altogether positive Valero, Nagatomo .Handanovic for the miracle save in the first half and then some more players had a few more ok or positive moments.
    Negative Miranda and Gagliardini,
Icardi ‘s disaster finishing was the major missing link for a long portion of the game…the last 20 minutes generosity and assist saved him a bit.

-Candreva easily. He is on fire unfortunately, midfielders and perisic(beside last match) dont know how to shoot in past couple matches and today Icardi of all players joined that list. We lookee sluggish and ineffective in the final third even against Verona and this was bound to happen.
-Torino goal is solely on Miranda. It is surprising that such an experienced defender not only made no tackle but even step back got outpaced and outpositioned and allowed Falque to shoot. Perhaps the fear of getting yellow and missing next match got to him.
    – our players tried too hard today to please the fans and that resulted in miss judgement of not only shots finding torino players but going straight to the fans. All around a mediocre performance from the team beside Candreva, Skrinar and shall I say Nagatomo.

      I Agree.

I thought the midfield was sloppy today. I will say Borja Valero looked excellent once we went to the 3412.

The man of the match today goes to Spalletti as any coach in the last 2-3 season would’ve just waited and made zero or just one substitution after torino scored. Eder and Brozo subs were a clear message to the team that the game was there to be won. Even though we draw but this was best mentality test to the team and they passed it.

    • Naves

He did forgot his last sub. Imo Karamoah should have entered instead of Candreva who gave his all and was visibly tired.

    did we “outplay” torino??

    • Mayor inter

      Yeah but we were unlucky.

Candreva I guess, had Icardi played on his level, Candreva would have like 3 assists this game. Vecino too, unlucky for a second game in a row, it makes me so mad that we’ve hit the post 5 times in the last 3 games.
