Former Inter full back Cristian Ansaldi returned to the San Siro for the first time since his summer exit on Sunday. Ansaldi’s new club Torino held the hosting Inter to a 1-1 draw and the Argentine reviewed the game today.

“I think the team played fine, especially against a strong team like Inter, we have to continue this way,” the Argentine, who played the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s draw told Torino’s official club website.

He concluded, “It was difficult to play against Inter at San Siro but I think we had a great game nevertheless.”

31-year-old Ansaldi has appeared in five games for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Toro this term and provided two assists during that time. His form has been rewarded with a call-up to the Argentine national team for their upcoming friendlies with Russia and Nigeria.

Ansaldi spent just a season with Inter and left the club in the summer past having made 26 appearances in all competitions in his short time with the club following a move from Genoa.
