Atletico Madrid’s Jose Gimenez is one of the players at the top of Inter’s shortlist for when the transfer window opens in January. The Uruguay international defender is making clear that he is on his way out for Atletico Madrid.

The upcoming international break gives teams the chance to map out their transfer strategy for the upcoming January window and Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb reports that Inter, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are all in pursuit of his signature.

Gimenez has not yet renewed his contract with Atletico Madrid with his current deal being set to expire at the end of June 2018. If he continues to go down this route, Gimenez will be able to sign with any team on a free transfer stating February 1st.

FCInterNews reports that Inter sporting Director Walter Sabatini is planning on making an offer for the player who Juventus were reportedly in talks with last summer. The transfer was effectively killed by Atletico after slapping a €65 million price tag on the player which Juventus were not prepared to spend and so the transfer did not go through.
