Inter continue to have great confidence in summer signing Dalbert despite the fact he has played little.

Corriere dello Sport have suggested that the 24-year-old could be on a similar course to Roma’s Emerson Palmieri. When Palmieri first joined Roma under now Inter manager Luciano Spalletti, he was used sparingly but showed his worth in the long term in training and was duly rewarded with extended runs in the team.

It is simply a matter of time until the former Nice full back the learning curve that comes with not only transferring from one team to another but moving to the tactically different Serie A.

Spalletti has preferred to start with long serving Yuto Nagatomo at left back this term, who knows the system and Italian football but Dalbert has made five appearances in Nerazzurri nevertheless. Three of his five appearances have been starts and Inter have never conceded a goal when he has started.
