Mauro Icardi’s recovery from his knee knock has went well and there are no doubts about his presence in Sunday night’s clash with Atalanta at San Siro Gazzetta dello Sport detail.

The Inter captain suffered the knock during the 1-1 draw with Torino and it was feared serious but after examination was confirmed as nothing more than bruising and some inflammation. Despite this, Icardi was still forced in to missing out on Argentina’s friendlies with Russia and Nigeria during the international break.

For the past week or so the 24-year-old striker has rested and underwent therapy to help his injury and he could well return to full training with his teammates tomorrow. For the time being, there is absolutely no need for any further medical examinations.

Icardi has been absolutely crucial to Inter and how they have started the season. The Argentine has scored 11 goals in 12 games this season but has failed to score in his last two outings.
