Jiangsu Suning’s Ramires is in line to be the first addition to Inter’s squad this winter. After finishing with the Chinese side, he is currently in London at Chelsea’s facilities for therapy to recover from injuries. He will then be leaving for Milano in December to begin training with Luciano Spalletti’s Inter squad.

Ramires has been a key player to the team’s he has played for in his career. He was an important piece in Chelsea’s midfield when they won the Champions league and Europa league. He’s also been very involved for Jiangsu Suning side and even at the age of 30 still has a few years left in him.

With his abilities, he is able to play anywhere in the midfield. He can be the link between the defence and midfield, play many roles as a central midfielder and lastly he can even play ahead of the midfield in a more advanced role. If indeed he was needed, he can even play on the wings, however, it would not be his ideal spot. With such qualities Ramires could be considered the “Nainggolan of Inter.”

Ramires adds tons of quality to Inter’s midfield. To have a midfield consisting of Borja Valero, Ramires and Gagliardini, plus Vecino, would mean a lot of variety and experience. With Vecino’s growth, Spalletti can consider using him in multiple ways, one being as a Trequartista.

The only concern regarding Ramires is his physical condition. He is coming back from an injury and hasn’t played in the most competitive of leagues for a few years. However, Paulinho, who also played in the Chinese Super League has surprised many since returning to football at the highest level as part of Barcelona.
