Fiorentina striker Cyril Thereau commented on the recent rumours concerning Viola teammate Federico Chiesa in an interview with Premium Sport today.
“He returned today from the national team, so we will have time to convince him to stay with us. He is very intelligent and he knows he still needs to grow and this is the perfect environment for him.
“Everybody wants him and the fans love him, he is a bit of the symbol for the club and the city itself. He still has a job to do in Florence and he knows that.”
The veteran, who joined the Florence club in the summer after three years with Udinese again stressed he and teammates will do what they can to keep Chiesa at the club.
“The club will do everything to convince him and we too will do everything we can too. We hope he stays with us and, above all, I hope he does not go to PSG, because that would kill me.”
