After being courted by Inter but nothing materializing during this past summer’s transfer window, and with AC Milan trying to sign him when the January transfer window opens, it looks like Brazilian ‘trequartista’, Lucas Lima, will not end up playing in the Serie A after all.

This, according to Brazilian media outlet TV Globo, who report that Lucas Lima has reached decided to leave current club Santos when his contract expires on the 31st of December this year, to join rivals Palmeiras. TV Globo report furthermore that the only thing that could prevent superagent Kia Joorabchian’s client from signing with Palmeiras is if a European club were to present the player a huge financial offer.

However, according to the report, any such offer would have to be impossible to turn down from a financial point of view with regards to the player and his agent, but as of yet no European side has been willing to break their wage cap to sign Lucas Lima.
