Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke with Premium Sports earlier today and highlighted the importance of today’s game at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district against Atalanta.

This is the time of the championship where we can not afford to make any mistakes. As the other strong teams have started quite well too, we should not lose and try to get as many points as possible. With Atalanta it will be very, very tough. I am not saying this to play mind games, everybody knows they have quality in their side and Gasperini is an experienced manager.”

Then the former Roma manager went on to speak about the physical condition of Inter captain Mauro Icardi reassuring all Inter fans that “Mauro is at his best. The condition of his knee is far better than before. He wants to be involved and wants to play. He is one of those guys who would do anything to play two games per week even when injured.”
