Inter captain Mauro Icardi stopped by RAI Sport momentarily after having scored the brace against Atalanta on day 13 of the 2017/2018 Serie A season, which secured all three point for Inter at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

“This was an important game for me, to score is always fun, if I score and my goals help the team, that just makes me even more happy” the Argentinian striker declared before rushing off to the next media outlet for an interview.

The Nerazzurri striker has been in lethal form this season, and including last night’s two goals, Mauro Icardi has now scored 13 goals in 13 Serie A matches so far this season which is by far his best ever start to the Serie A. Despite Icardi’s fantastic goalscoring form, he lies in second place in the Serie A top goalscorer chart, 2 goals behind Lazio’s Ciro Immobile who leads on 15 goals.

Last night’s 2-0 win over Atalanta also means that Inter climb up to second place in the Serie A, two points behind league leaders Napoli.
