Tuttosport have examined the situations of Inter duo Geoffrey Kondogbia and Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, both of whom are currently out on loan at Valencia and Benfica respectively.

Together, the players are worth €50 million to Inter due to both of their loan clubs having €25 million options to buy, making them worth more than what Inter would make should they qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Kondogbia has starred for Marcelino’s Valencia as the Spanish club find themselves second in the La Liga standings after 12 games, four points short of leaders Barcelona and six ahead of third placed Real Madrid. The 24-year-old has made 10 appearances for the Mestalla Stadium outfit and found the net three times and assisted once.

Gabigol has however not enjoyed the same success that the Frenchman has. The Brazilian has struggled to break in to the Benfica side and been limited to just four appearances in all competitions where he has managed to score a goal. Recent reports in the media suggest that his time with Benfica could however be cut short in January due to this.
