Lucas Torreira’s agent Pablo Bentancur has insisted his client is happy at Sampdoria despite the many circulating transfer reports concerning his client.
“The idea is to continue with Sampdoria until the end of the season. It would be a shame to break up a team playing beautiful football.
“We only signed a new contract for five years a few months ago, inserting a €25 million release clause. The most important thing now, however, is not this, he must remain calm and give his all on the field. His rapport with Sampdoria is great” he told Calciomercato.it.
Torreira’s performances for Marco Giampaolo’s side have impressed many with Inter among a number of interested clubs. The performances have however not come as a surprise to Bentancur.
“I am glad, he is demonstrating he has great technique, but I knew he had it already. He is growing in confidence and Gaston Ramirez’s arrival helped him.”
