Alessandro Bastoni could be with Inter sooner than initially intended according to a report from FCInterNews.it

The central defender was purchased during the summer mercato and loaned back to Atalanta for two seasons. However, given Inter’s shortage at centre back the 18-year-old could in fact be back at Inter come January. The six time Italian Under 19 international joined in a deal worth €10 million with other performance based bonuses attached and signed a contract through to 2022.

Bastoni has found first team opportunities with Atalanta limited this term and has made all bar one of his five appearances this season for the Bergamese club’s Primavera. He has been an unused substitute on no less than nine occasions this term including the last game against Inter on Sunday night.

Bastoni’s possible return does of course all depend on the Nerazzurri’s other intentions for the mercato too which could see them add a more established and experienced player to their ranks instead.
