Inter are having thoughts about bringing Alessandro Bastoni to the club in January 2018 according to a report from Tuttosport.

The 18-year-old centre back was signed last summer by the Nerazzurri but left on loan with the Bergamo club for the next two years. At the moment he is not playing at all and is behind Masiello, Tolòi, Caldara and Palomino in the pecking order. The young defender has appeared 4 times for the Primavera and has been involved in just 14 minutes of football in Serie A this season. At the moment, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has only three centre backs available in Milan Skriniar, Joao Miranda and Andrea Ranocchia. Full backs Davide Santon and Danilo D’Ambrosio could also slot into that role if necessary but are of course not naturals unlike Bastoni.

Bastoni has appeared for the Italian national team from Under 15 to Under 19 youth level and has made close to half a century of appearances combined during that time.
