With Joao Miranda being suspended it is time for Andrea Ranocchia to form the core of defense together with Milan Skriniar against Chievo Verona.

La Gazzetta dello Sport explains: “For the Italian, this is the first time this season that he starts and the ex-captain has not actually started since 2nd oc December in 2016. One year later and with the experience from playing in the Premier League with Hull City, Ranocchia is ready to start for this year’s Inter. This season he has only played 5 minutes when he came on as a sub for Danilo D’Ambrosio against Crotone. This has never been a problem since Ranocchia is an intelligent person with a professional attitude that realises that Inter’s mid defense starts with Miranda and Skriniar. And as a veteran player he has continued to work hard during practices although rumours during this summer’s transfer window had the defender going away from Inter.”
