Luciano Spalletti’s Inter went out and sent a clear message to the rest of the Serie A: Inter are not coming, Inter are already here. A fantastic performance saw the Nerazzurri go top of the Serie A after hammering Chievo at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza thanks to a phenomenal hattrick by Ivan Perisic.

It is far too soon to talk about Inter winning the Scudetto but it is just about time to talk about how after almost a decade of disappointments the Nerazzurri of old have returned. The big club mentality, the psychological strength, the cool mentality and the ability to play in so many different ways.

Inter are top of the league now until the team travels to Turin to face off with Juventus at the Allianz Stadium next Saturday 9th of December with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET. Enjoy the week Inter fans. You’ve earned it.

and joao mario still suck at finishing chances
perhaps the main reason spalletti kept him on bench so many times

Apart from the pretty obvious choice, I think Candreva was very instrumental-AGAIN. He owned the right flank. His show of skill in the first half stole the show for me. Seems very confident. 15th continuous start, if I’m not wrong?
Brozovic, the AM we’re constantly looking for in others. On his day, he runs a lot, is smart, fancy and effective. I love the fact that he isn’t afraid to shoot! And I’m okay with wayward shooting at times, because that kind of energy and skill is needed in the team.
And lastly, Skriniar! What have we done to deserve this guy? I love the fact that he is so much in love with inter and it’s fans! And what was he doing in the center of the opposition box, twice?! What brilliant runs! 3rd goal of the campaign. We have our back up DM/CM/AM/CF/Winger in him if needed(jk, of course. Or am i?)
Special mentions of Valero, Santon, Rannocchia, Icardi and Handanovic. Great team effort overall.

Hard to pick since the team is so united and everyone worked on their duties perfectly. But a hatrick by Perisic hands down.

  • Chris Triumbari

honestly how could you ask for a better game? a 5-0 thrashing with perisic getting a hat trick finally and icardi getting one. Also glad to see karamoh and dalbert on the pitch. Perfect game.

  • Pradana Gilang

And Italian media still said we heavily depend on Icardi

  • Stefano

The midfield for an offensive home game like this one was actually better without Gaglia.
Gaglia is more of a warrior for the next game ,maybe.

After Perisic.MOTM , Brozo was amazing to me , he has been my 3/4 ista of choice for a long time now, since the beginning of the season.
JM ,apart from shooting, was very good.
Valero super excellent ,what a quality quarterback.
    .
in Juve I would probably go:
    Vecino-Valero.
    Brozo..
    BUT ,like Spallo said :
    They are all “starters”.

  • Stefano

    MOTM :
    BRIGNOLI !!
    AHAHAH

    • Pradana Gilang

      hahaha

      • John

Andre Silva is essentially Gabigol II

  • Stefano

First of all ,as promised :
    I WAS WRONG ABOUT RANO.
He was good and is good.
And in any case ..a good person and a good professional,( in al fairness ..I never said anything about that.)

I would still play Miranda next Saturday and I would still look for one more CB to complete our roster ,..BUT.. he was good and now he is a good, or at least a decent ,experienced sub for this Inter.

    So ,as promised :
I was wrong Rano for not trusting you for this game.
You are a good player ,an Inter player.

    • Chris Triumbari

lmao you were going off on him last week,He isnt good but isnt bad either.Reliable back up did his job

      • Stefano

In all fairness…half of the posters around here were going off on him.
Maybe me ” hating on him” ( as a player only, never as a person) gets noticed more , it feels strange because I am one who literally ALWAYS defends every single player and everything about Inter.
        He was the only exception.

Not anymore now ,because I am the only one around who admitted to be wrong.
So many posters, the majority around here in summer ,were going off about EVERYTHING Inter.
        Did you read anyone say:
        I was wrong?
        Me neither.

  • Alex

Man, Skriniar and his hunger for scoring goals reminds me of Sergio Ramos. An absolute beast. I want him to stay in this shirt forever.

  • Sean Patrick

    Skriniar 2nd, Santon 3rd, Icardi 4th, Ranocchia 5th.

    • Sean Patrick

The midfield was very reliable, but short on ideas.

      • John

What more ideas do you demand in a 5-0 blowout?

        • Sean Patrick

Just because we won doesn’t mean our central midfield had a lot of ideas. Look at Manchester City and Napoli if you want to see a creative midfield. There is a long way to go.

          • John

Manchester City spent 3x our budget and got better players. Napoli haven’t changed their squad and built chemistry. Neither can be accomplished easily. I don’t blame at all for the level of ideas our midfielders have at the moment.

      • Stefano

Are you sure you didn’t watch Atalanta’s game instead?
Their shirt is literally our 2012 jersey

      • Mirgjan Kupi

Brozovic created the most chances in the whole game
