Former Inter forward Hernan Crespo was one of a number of famous faces present at Vice President Javier Zanetti’s Pupi Foundation event last night.

The Argentine spoke to gathered media and first spoke on the differences between Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain in the lead up to Saturday’s Derby D’Italia.

I think they are two great strikers, there is no one like Icardi in the box but in terms of team play Higuain is better. I hope that Icardi wins on Saturday, I’m sorry Higuain.”

Crespo then discussed Icardi’s future amid links with Real Madrid.

“He has to stay at Inter as Inter is not far behind Real Madrid. He is the captain of Inter and everyone loves him, what’s better than that?”

Inter sit atop of the Serie A standings at this stage of the season and are the only remaining unbeaten team and Crespo, who spent four years at Inter, shared his thoughts on the start.

“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, it’s not a coincidence. It’s certainly thanks to Spalletti, who arrived at the right time.”
