Mauro Icardi has been labelled as Juventus’ ‘kryptonite’ in the lead up to Saturday’s Derby D’Italia by Corriere dello Sport.

The Inter captain and current Serie A top scorer has faced the Bianconeri 10 times in his career and scored seven goals against them. Despite his good goal record, Icardi has only beaten Juventus on three of the occasions he has played them while he has been on the losing side four times.

Nobody is safe from Icardi in current form with 16 goals scored in 15 games this season, including a memorable hat trick in Inter’s other derby, the Derby della Madonnina with Milan back in October. The Argentine international is on a three game scoring streak and scored five goals across that time, including two braces that came against Atalanta and Cagliari.

His fine scoring form this term has alerted some of European football’s elite clubs including Real Madrid who appear eager to add him to their ranks.
