Inter legend Walter Zenga spoke to Inter TV today about the Derby d’Italia this Saturday at the Allianz Stadium, Turin.

The former Inter and Italy goalkeeper spoke about the modern day goalkeeper and how the position has developed over the years.

“The role of the goalkeeper has changed so much, nowadays you are asked to do so much more as a goalkeeper like having to play the ball with your feet. Obviously the main objective remains which is to stop shots.”

Zenga was then asked how he prefers out of Handanovic and Buffon and who will come out on top Saturday night.

“We will see at the end of the match. It is always the team that makes the difference in a game and not the goalkeeper. You cannot say before the game who of the two will be more decisive. To be that it would suggest that the team has allowed a lot of shots at goal. So with that in mind, lets hope that Buffon is worked more, this would mean that Inter will have won the game.”
