Milan Skriniar will be Inter’s way of stopping Gonzalo Higuain according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Slovakian, “is already considered capable of taming the Argentine striker. Juventus do not only have Pipita, but meanwhile, keeping him quiet, will increase the chances of Inter exiting the Allianz Stadium with a positive result,” the Roman newspaper detail.

Higuain, who Skriniar will be attempting to nullify, has scored nine goals in 11 Serie A appearances and 11 goals in all competitions this season.

The 22-year-old central defender joined the Nerazzurri in the summer from Sampdoria and Inter came under fire for the fee they paid. However, the fee appears to have been a steal with Skriniar’s transfer value sky rocketing as he has starred alongside Miranda in central defence. His performances have alerted some of world football’s best clubs including Manchester City and Barcelona.

Skriniar has played every single minute of Inter’s season thus far, helping the team to seven clean sheets and scoring three times in the 15 games.
