Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri reflected on Inter solid defence this season in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb Radio.

“In the past, the defensive line is what caused Inter the biggest problems but this year with the arrival of Milan Skriniar the defence is more solid.”

“Probably a little something is still missing but from the beginning of the season Inter has improved a lot, at the moment they are at their best and there is not much more they can do than that at the moment. They will encounter difficulties, especially if players are lost due to injury. The season is long and the unexpected is always around the corner.”

Ferri concluded by discussing what he believes is/could be the Nerazzurri’s downfall.

“Spalletti has a tactical constraint however because with these players he can only play in this way and if the opponents are able to nullify the Nerazzurri’s game plan then he must make changes.”
