Inter’s performance in the Coppa Italia against Pordenone left a lot to be desired. Despite going through eventually on penalties against the Serie C side, Inter struggled throughout the game and were constantly denied by a well organised Pordenone side.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti, decided to rest most of his big name stars to play those who haven’t had much game time so far. One of those to play last night was goalkeeper Daniele Padelli who made his Inter debut between the sticks. Very few players gave a good account of themselves in the game but Padelli was one of the few to impress especially during the eventual penalty shootout where he saved 2 penalties.

His agent, Silvano Martina, spoke exclusively to FCInterNews about his clients’ performance.

“We are happy with his performance against Pordenone last night. But his professionalism and dedication has never been in question.”

He was then asked about a potential match up with city rivals, Milan, in the next round of the Coppa Italia.

“We shall see what happens tonight. If so, I will ask for tickets for the game…”
