During the 3-1 defeat to Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district on Saturday, Inter provided a rather lackluster and disappointing performance in the second half, after a great first half in which they were not able to capitalise on all the chances the team created.

Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport commented on the match in the paper edition of the paper as: “Inter ended the match against Udinese with five offensive players and three defenders, a very clear message from Luciano Spalletti, who watched his team concede two goals until he threw on the most offensive elements in his squad, which led to a change in the formation from four at the back and instead go with one consisting of three defenders with D’Ambrosio to the right of the back three, Skriniar in the middle and Miranda to the left.”

This adjustment however, did not bear fruit as Inter recorded their first defeat of the season.
