As the January transfer window nears, Inter are on the lookout for a new attacker. Bologna’s Simone Verdi has long been of interest to the Nerazzurri but is by no means the only player under consideration from the Inter leadership Tuttosport detail.

Inter are looking to add another winger to the squad to give another option to the current crop of wingers, Antonio Candreva, Ivan Perisic and a growing Yann Karamoh.

Verdi’s Bologna teammate Eusebio Di Francesco and Sassuolo’s Matteo Politano are two other options from within Italy. Federico Chiesa is another Inter have looked at but he is deemed indispensable by his club Fiorentina.

While Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu and Chelsea’s Charlie Musonda – both of whom are experiencing a lack of playing time at their respective sides – are two names from foreign leagues on Inter’s radar. Deulofeu is no stranger to Serie A however having spent a period on loan with Inter’s city rivals Milan last season. As for Musonda, the 21-year-old has not played in Italy but has been admired by now Inter manager Luciano Spalletti who hoped to sign the Belgian last January when he was still in charge of Roma.
