UK based news outlet The Independent have revealed that there are more sides than just Inter interested in Manchester United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Previously Inter were the only team to be linked with the player but his former club Borussia Dortmund is also keeping a tab on the player’s situation. The German club is ready to swap highly rated midfielder Julian Weigl for the Armenian winger. Weigl is a player who is highly valued by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and Inter’s pursuit of the 28-year-old is now more difficult as a result of the Bundesliga outfit’s interest.

Mkhitaryan joined the Red Devils for around £30 million back in 2016 having been named Bundesliga player’s player of the season for 2015/16. Mkhitaryan has however been unable to regularly reach the standards that won him the award and has only made one appearance  in United’s last nine games and even then it was an 18 minute cameo appearance from the substitutes bench.
